Training Events
One goal of the Virtual Institute MetBioMat inter alia, was to train highly qualified young scientist for a growth market, who think and approach their daily work in an interdisciplinary way. Therefore, training events of the Virtual Institute covered a broad spectrum of academic conferences, method workshops and complemetary skills training. They were open to all junior scientists of the Virtual Institute.

- HEKATE project workshop: ‘Turning ideas into business opportunities’, Hamburg, Germany (26-28 November 2014)
The HEKATE workshop, “Turning ideas into business opportunities” has been developed in the course of the HEKATE – Higher Education and Enterprises: Knowledge Alliances for the Training of Entrepreneurs – project.
The workshop, which took place from 26 to 28 November at the TuTech Innovation premises in Hamburg, aimed at early stage researchers and early career business professionals and follows an experience-based learning approach. The workshop website also notes that participants will learn strategies and tools to pursue a business idea throughout different development stages within both company and academic settings.

In addition, participants will receive feedback on their "Mini-Grant" from the trainer.
