16 members of VIPCOAT consortium took place at physical meeting in Aveiro on October 12-15, 2021
Partners discussed the first progress and challenges in the project implementation, and agreed the next steps and actions for the project development.
Nanocontainers workshop on October 12, 2021
SMT Factory Tour
Smallmateck organized and led a Nanocontainers workshop on October 12, 2021, in Aveiro, PT. The workshop supported the understanding a corrosion protection mechanism using nanocontainers and provided to partners basic knowledge in nanocontainers manufacturing. Frederico Maia, Nuno Nogueira and Claudia Rocha gave a factory tour for the consortium members. The SMT team demonstrated the company`s facilities and explained main steps of nanocontainers production. VIPCOAT partners from TUD, VUB, LIST, NTNU, Fraunhofer and Hereon took place in the tour. The theoretical part of the workshop was provided in hybrid format for the whole consortium. Lectures on the active corrosion protection using nanocontainers of corrosion inhibitors and the modelling approaches were presented by Prof. João Tedim (Univ. Aveiro), Prof. Richard Gomes (Univ. Aveiro) and Frederico Maia (SMT).
SMT Factory Tour
On October 13-15, 2021, VIPCOAT consortium met first time in Aveiro, PT, for M6-consortium meeting. The Event has beed organized by SMT team in hybrid format. Seven partners met personally (Hereon, NTNU, VUB, LIST, SMT, Fraunhofer ITWM, TUD), five partners participated online (AIRBUS, AkzoNobel, SINTEF, Elsyca, WIKKI).
