Scientific seminar

Marko Horvat (WIKKI) has presented VIPCOAT OIP and software engineering approached implements at the platform at a scientific seminar of Politechnico Turino on July 04. Marko discussed with young researches and PhD students potential of materials digitalization and benefits for society. Digital innovation platforms bring together stakeholders from different groups and communities, and connect industry, academia, governmental bodies and society to unlock the hided power of innovations, providing the real opportunity to drive an innovation process.

1st Workshop DIADEM – Material Digital: collaboration with national initiatives

On July 10, Natalia Konchakova and Peter Klein have been invited to contribute to 1st Workshop DIADEM – Material Digital. The event was organized by DIADEM community and held at Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in Paris. The workshop was focused on development of digital environment and infrastructure as well as national collaborative projects achievements and issues in the area of materials digitalization. The activity is driving by two national initiatives: Platform Material Digital of Germany, and DIADEM of France.
VIPCOAT consortium members delivered two talks for the scientific program of the event: “Digital Era of Advanced Materials Design and Development” and “VIPCOAT digital Open Innovating Platform: DigiPass Demonstrator environment”.
Additionally, Natalia and Peter led a workshop session considered requirements and currently published regulations for Digital Passport of Materials, Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) concept and LCA.

Collaboration around VIPCOAT

On July 24, the project coordinator presented VIPCOAT platform functionalities at a scientific seminar of the SECOP's group of Aveiro University, Portugal. Natalia Konchakova gave a talk on " Digital Environment for Development of Advanced Materials" and presented two projects: VIPCOAT and DigiPass.
