“Position Paper: Open Innovation in Horizon Europe” has been published on January 14, 2022, in Zenodo. The document summarizes the ideas of the three Horizon 2020 projects VIPCOAT, MUSICODE and OpenModel, on how to extend the concept of Open Innovation under the Horizon Europe framework program into Open Innovation Frameworks, compliant with the European Open Science Cloud initiatives and the European headline ambitions published by the European Commission. All VIPCOAT partners contributed to the paper sharing ideas and experience on open innovation modelling frameworks needs and strategical use cases that are most pressing for the implementation.

The document is a first step on the collaboration of VIPCOAT, MUSICODE and OpenModel consortia working to establish Open Innovation Platforms for materials modelling to support European Industry on the digital transformation.Read more

On January 19, 2022, the Open Innovation Support Team (OIST) of VIPCOAT project met in Bremen at AIRBUS. Mikhail Zheludkevich (Hereon), Malte Burchardt(AIRBUS), Peter Klein (Fraunhofer ITWM) and Natalia Konchakova (Hereon) discussed strategical points on the project development and coming steps for the OIP sustainability. Some important decisions have been made.
