CoSynHealth

CoSynHealth is a junior research group funded by the BMBF within the funding priority on "Global Change: Climate, Environment and Health", which is hosted at the Climate Service Center Germany (GERICS).

Led by Dr. Peter Hoffmann, the group investigates which conflicts but also synergies between climate protection and climate adaptation measures can occur with regard to the health of city dwellers. The aim is to develop climate service tools for urban planning and the health sector so that the health aspect can be taken into account in the transformation of cities towards CO₂ neutrality. To this end, the group is cooperating with scientists from the University of Hamburg, the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Osaka University.
