Scientific exchange and technical workshop in Colombia

Natalia A. Tarazona from Hereon organized a technical workshop at the Faculty of Engineering at Universidad de Los Andes, from 18.10.2021 to 29.10.2021. The workshop was focused on the development of an assay for the isolation of plastic-degrading microorganisms, using culture media containing micro- and nano-plastic particles. These activities are part of a visit carried out within the framework of MENZYPOL-NET, in which Dr. Tarazona met the partners from UniAndes and the infrastructure of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Biological sciences.
The partners from Agrosavia joined the event by organizing a tour of their campus in Mosquera, Cundinamarca, in which the collection of microorganisms and the facilities were displayed to all participants. What a great working team!
