Breaking Boundaries: Exploring Novel Biotechnological Solutions for Plastic Waste Challenges

An upcomming and interesting online conference organized by the European and Asian Federations of Biotechnology will be focused to explore the challenges and biotechnological solutions surronding the issues caused by plastic waste. In this meeting, Dr. Diego Jimenez (who is part of the MENZYPOL network), will give a keynote lecture about novel strategies to select plastic-transforming microbial communities from environmetnal samples, focusing in his latest discoveries related to hidden potential of lignocellulolytic microbial consortia as source of novel plastic-active species and enzymes. Currently, Dr. Jimenez is Research Scientist in the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology - KAUST (Saudi Arabia).
