The VI was mentioned in various press releases, there was, together with the UKE a television report in Schleswig-Holstein Magazin. The VI was also included in the exhibition "Ideas 2020". In addition, there were several contributions to the Hereon open day, and on 09.04.2014, Regine Willumeit: "Abbaubare metallische Knochenimplantate: Wunsch oder Wirklichkeit?" (Degradable metallic bone implants: hope or reality). General Lectures at the University of Hamburg, series "Chemie für alle: Kommunikation der Moleküle" (Chemistry for all: Communications of the molecules).
